Premlata joined LG Ads straight after college and has been here for two years. An Associate Product Manager and all-round awesome teammate, Premlata brings her A-game to work every single day. Here’s a little bit about her in her own words —

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what made you decide to work at LG Ads.
Hi, I am Premlata and I joined LG Ads just after my graduation in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras, India. LG Ads is the first company I have worked at and it’s been an amazing experience so far. I joined LG Ads as a Business Data Analyst where I worked on linear & digital campaigns and linear & OTT attribution reports. Before joining LG Ads, I was always fascinated by the ads I saw on TV and social media, how the whole ad industry worked and how I could see ads related to my interests on social media. Here at LG Ads, I have learnt more about how the technology behind advertising works and how fast the industry is growing.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the company culture. Everyone here is very supportive and helpful. I love the job because it is full of challenges and opportunities and I get to work with intelligent people. In my role, I get to interact with multiple teams which is very helpful to get to know more about the company. Also in my role, I can see how my work directly impacts the company’s business and revenue, which is very exciting and motivates me to work more every day.
Along with my BDA role, I was given the opportunity to work on projects in fields I wanted to explore. After working on multiple projects, I finally found my interest in product management. I am happy to share that now my role has changed from Business Data Analyst to Associate Product Manager. My senior team members and peers helped me to achieve this. I love my new role as there is a lot to learn and many exciting projects to be part of.

What is your proudest accomplishment at LG Ads?
At LG Ads, I was also on the local insights team, wherein we worked on local TV and OTT attribution reports for local brands in the US. I worked on designing many internal tools which helped with automation and scaling up. I feel proud to say that I was one of the initial local insights team members when the company just launched this product in the market. I was part of this team and the whole journey where we grew to new heights and achieved milestones. I have contributed to building this team and product. This is my proudest accomplishment.

How has LG Ads helped you thrive as a woman? What advice do you have for other women?
Here at LG Ads, everyone has been very supportive. We have a club, ‘Women at LG ads’ in which women talk about work and share experiences to learn from each other. We have company-wide discussions about gender diversity, with both employees and executives trying to find new ways to promote diversity. My message to all women is – never set boundaries for yourself. Go out and explore the fields where you want to work. You will always find the right people to help you grow and support you.
