NCIS Re-Runs and Anderson Cooper 360 send FOX’s The Resident to the ER

The Season 4 Premiere of FOX’s The Resident was outwatched by both CBS and CNN during the 8pm ET hour on Tuesday, January 12.

CBS garnered the highest share of viewers during the hour with NCIS (7.40%), followed by CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 (5.81%). The Resident brought in 5.58% of the share for FOX.

ABC’s Captain America: The Winter Solider viewing had 5.49% the share and NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist rounded out the top 5 shows at 8pm with 4.92% the share of viewers.

Prior to The Resident’s season premiere, 31% of its viewers were already tuned-in to FOX, but 21% were not watching any live TV at all.

Following the premiere 37% of its viewers stayed tuned-in to FOX to watch the Prodigal Son season premiere, 22% turned off live TV and 18% changed the channel to NBC for This Is Us.
